Terms of service
These terms cover your use of the DepthPix app, this website and related services (together, “DepthPix”). By using DepthPix you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use DepthPix.
1. The service
DepthPix lets you browse, personalise, download and apply depth wallpapers with a live clock and date, style the clock in Studio, add live effects, and — where available — create designs from your own photos. We may add, change or remove features, wallpapers and content at any time.
2. Who can use DepthPix
You must be at least 13 years old to use DepthPix. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian, including for any purchase.
3. Your account
Many features work without an account. Some, such as syncing favourites, saved designs, premium access across devices and Create with your photo, need you to sign in with Google. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your Google account secure. You can delete your account at any time from the app — see Delete your account.
4. Premium, purchases and ads
- Payments go through Google Play. Subscriptions, lifetime access, unlocks and donations are processed by Google Play Billing under Google Play's terms. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting your DepthPix account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies.
- Ads. The free version may show ads, including optional rewarded ads that unlock content.
- Premium gives access to the content and features described in the app at the time. The specific wallpapers and features included may change as the catalogue changes.
5. Using wallpapers
You may download and use wallpapers from DepthPix as backgrounds on your own devices, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not sell, resell, redistribute or republish DepthPix wallpapers or wallpaper packs, use them in other apps or products, or claim them as your own. Some wallpapers carry their own licence terms (such as a Creative Commons licence); where they do, those terms also apply to that wallpaper.
6. Copyright and removal requests
Wallpapers in DepthPix come from many places. Some are original DepthPix designs. Others are collected from artists, online communities and public sources, including works shared under Creative Commons licences, and some show characters, logos, vehicles, people or other subjects whose rights belong to someone else. DepthPix does not claim ownership of third-party artwork, characters or trademarks — they belong to their respective owners, and their appearance in DepthPix doesn't mean those owners endorse us.
We respect the rights of creators. If you own the rights to a wallpaper in DepthPix, or represent someone who does, and you want it credited differently or removed, we will remove it on request.
How to ask for a removal
Email [email protected] with the subject DepthPix Copyright Removal Request and include:
- Your name and how to contact you.
- Which wallpaper it is — its name in the app, a screenshot, or both.
- The original work, or a link to where it's published.
- A statement that you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner, and that the information in your request is accurate.
We review every request and remove the wallpaper from the app promptly once the request is confirmed. Wallpapers that were already downloaded to someone's phone stay on that device, but they are no longer offered in DepthPix.
We may also remove any content at our own discretion, for example if we believe it infringes someone's rights.
7. Your photos and designs
When you use Create with your photo or Studio, you keep all rights to your photos and to the designs you make. You give us a limited permission to process your photo only as needed to create your designs, as described in our Privacy policy. Only use photos you have the right to use, and don't use other people's photos without their permission. You're responsible for how you use and share the designs you create.
8. Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Copy, scrape, bulk-download or extract wallpapers or other content from DepthPix or its servers.
- Try to get premium content or features without paying, including by tampering with the app or its purchases.
- Reverse engineer, modify or interfere with the app, its servers or its security, except where the law allows it.
- Use DepthPix to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights, including by uploading photos you have no right to use.
- Abuse, overload or disrupt DepthPix or other people's use of it.
9. Our app and brand
The DepthPix app, its software, design, original wallpapers, clock styles and the DepthPix name and logo belong to us and are protected by law. These terms don't give you any right to use our name, logo or brand.
10. Third-party services
DepthPix relies on services from others, including Google Play, Google Sign-In, Firebase and AdMob. Your use of those services is also covered by their own terms and policies. Google Play and Android are trademarks of Google LLC.
11. Disclaimers
DepthPix is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it running well, but we don't promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or work on every device or launcher, or that any particular wallpaper will stay in the catalogue. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these terms.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, DepthPix and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of DepthPix. Our total liability for any claim relating to DepthPix is limited to the amount you paid us for DepthPix in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer laws that can't be excluded.
13. Ending your use
You can stop using DepthPix and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or misuses DepthPix. Sections that by their nature should continue — such as wallpaper use, copyright, disclaimers and limitation of liability — continue after your use ends.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and may also let you know in the app or on this website. If you keep using DepthPix after a change, you accept the updated terms.
